The Deep Work of Deprivation

Deprivation disciplines us away from the familiar and into a growing faith. It redirects us from testing God to trusting Him. It develops a deeper prayer life—not one built on emergencies alone, but on relationship. The wilderness exposes our tendency to confuse God’s provision with God Himself, and our wants with our needs. The question is not whether God is present. The question is whether we will trust Him when the bridge looks out and the water seems gone.
